Acciona has begun work on a $58 million project to expand the New Container Terminal at one of Spain’s busiest ports. This initiative is expected to boost economic opportunities in the region while enhancing logistics capacity and trade. To support its commitment to sustainability and innovation, Acciona partnered with ROXBOX and Black Stump to replace a costly, noisy, and inefficient 200 kW diesel generator operating on-site. The solution needed to align with the company’s environmental goals while leveraging advanced technology for greater efficiency.

Our Solarator® Compact 50+ kW was deployed to address the client’s costly diesel consumption. By replacing a traditional diesel generator with this solar-powered commercial unit, Acciona is expected to eliminate up to 844,000 pounds of carbon emissions and save over $428,000 in annual fuel costs.
