A: Containers weigh between 4300-8500 pounds

A: We typically only use new “one trip” containers for modifications and construction as used containers can be difficult to work with from damage and warping.

A: Containers are made with Cor-ten steel which does rust without a protective layer and exposure to natural elements and weather. However, the thin layer of rust-oxide protects the core allowing the steel to have a rich patina that darkens with time.

A: While we used to sell shipping containers, we now have shifted our sole focus to selling shipping container modification products. If you have questions about purchasing shipping containers without modifications, we’d still be happy to help.

A: Shipping containers are a commodity. Therefore, the cost of a shipping container varies based on quality and availability.

A: Our team is standing by and ready to assist you with your modification project needs. Fill out our quote form on the “Get in Touch” page to get the process started.

A: After doing this for years, we have developed a four-step phase process that we walk clients through for a great customer experience. Our goal is to always be transparent and upfront with what we’re doing and where your project stands throughout. You can see our custom shipping container four-step phase process on the “About Us” page.

A: We take ACH, wire or check payments. Upon engagement, we will send our payment instructions for a smooth process. Our payments are broken down in out Terms and Conditions upon engagement as well.

A: We will help organize a delivery to your desired destination for your modification project. The cost of this delivery will be included in your detailed quote.

A: Projects like a confined space training container or a shipping container QSR (quick service restaurant) each have different city rules and regulations. Depending on the project, we will help with permitting. This will be discussed in more detail during our phase process.

A: Contrary to what many people think, compared to traditional stick-built structures, shipping container modifications can be only moderately more cost effective. True savings come from the much shorter amount of time it takes for a shipping container modification project to be completed.

A: Yes we do! We’ve partnered with an Australian Company, Black Stump Technologies, to bring an incredible solar-powered cold storage product to market. This product line is called HELIOS. You can find out more about this product and other solar powered container products on the “HELIOS Solar” page.

A: We suggest using the containers as a structure for a carport rather than a garage itself. We have a number of shipping container garage designs that we believe offer the best use in a cost-effective manner. Give us a call or fill out our quote form and ask about the modifications we can offer. We’re sure you will see there is no limit to what we can do.

A: No. While shipping container pools may look extremely cool and keep you out of the heat, the structural engineering behind them does not lend itself to being filled with water and major issues can occur. If you want that container look in your backyard, let us know and we’ll walk you through the steps in getting it done.

A: While we may help with permitting, it is the client’s responsibility to check with the local municipality to see if they will allow a container at your site.

A: While we have done this in the past, we are no longer willing to do modifications on used containers that clients have previously purchased.

A: Our products are all custom modifications, and therefore we cannot offer exact project prices until we complete Phase 2 of our four-step shipping container project process. Final project prices depend on the client’s customizations, construction requirements, delivery location, project timeline, and equipment upgrades.
